To buy Alchemy Pay (ACH) in Canada, sign up to a CSA-registered exchange that lists it, verify your ID, deposit Canadian dollars and place the order. On my list the registered options are Coinbase, Kraken and Crypto.com. I would start with Coinbase because it ranks first on my scorecard at 9.8 out of 10 and takes free Interac e-Transfer deposits; Kraken because it has the lower Kraken Pro fees once you are past the first buy and free Interac e-Transfer deposits; Crypto.com because it is a CSA Restricted Dealer, though its Canadian fee schedule is not published.
BloFin, MEXC and Bitunix also list ACH but are offshore: not registered with the Canadian Securities Administrators, and their terms restrict Canadian residents or are unclear, so read the labels in the table before you go near them. Wealthsimple Crypto is not named here because it publishes no public coin list I could check, and Bull Bitcoin, Bitcoin Well and Shakepay do not carry ACH.
I have been trading crypto in Canada since 2016, and I have tested 61 exchanges on my YouTube channel, OCryptoCanada. For ACH that testing narrows the field fast, because the answer depends entirely on which asset lists carry it. The table below is built from those asset lists, not from memory.
Part of my guide to how to buy crypto in Canada.
What Is Alchemy Pay (ACH)?
Alchemy Pay (ACH) is the backbone of a payment platform that bridges fiat and crypto economies, letting merchants accept both. Canadians might be hooked on its real-world utility and staking potential, whether you are in Vancouver or out on the Prairies.
Altcoins like ACH can be volatile, so scope out its market trends before leaping in.
I am not quoting a live price here, since it would be out of date within hours. Check the order screen of your platform for the current CAD price. Crypto is volatile, so size up the ups and downs before you jump in.

Where Can You Buy Alchemy Pay (ACH) In Canada?
| Exchange | Canadian Status | Published Fee | CAD Funding | My Rank | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coinbase | CSA-registered (Restricted Dealer) | Up to 1.875% on simple buys, plus spread | Free Interac e-Transfer and EFT | #1 | Buy ACH |
| BloFin | Offshore, terms prohibit Canada | 0.1% spot | No CAD funding | #2 | Buy ACH |
| Kraken | CSA-registered (Restricted Dealer) | Kraken Pro 0.40% maker / 0.80% taker; Instant Buy 1% | Free Interac e-Transfer deposits | #3 | Buy ACH |
| MEXC | Offshore, terms prohibit Canada | 0% maker / 0.05% taker | No CAD funding verified | #9 | Buy ACH |
| Bitunix | Offshore, terms prohibit Canada | See Bitunix fee page | No CAD funding | Not ranked | Buy ACH |
| Crypto.com | CSA-registered (Restricted Dealer) | Not published for Canada | Not verified | Not ranked | Buy ACH |
Coinbase and Crypto.com publish one global coin list, not a Canadian one. Check the coin in their Canadian app before you fund an account.
These are the platforms on my scorecard whose asset lists include ACH, in my fixed order. Bull Bitcoin, Bitcoin Well and Shakepay are left out because they do not offer ACH. Wealthsimple Crypto is left out because it publishes no public coin list I could check. Bitbuy and Coinsquare are left out because new accounts are being folded into Robinhood.

How Much Does It Cost To Buy $500 Of Alchemy Pay (ACH) In Canada?
| Platform | Published Cost On $500 |
|---|---|
| Coinbase | Up to 1.875% Coinbase fee on a simple buy (varies by payment method), about $9.38, plus the spread |
| BloFin | Spot 0.1% each way is $0.50 (base tier) |
| Kraken | Kraken Pro taker 0.80% is $4.00 (maker 0.40% is $2.00); Instant Buy 1% is $5.00 plus spread |
| MEXC | Maker 0% is $0, taker 0.05% is $0.25 (base tier) |

| Crypto.com | Advertised as low as 0.08% maker (about $0.40) and 0.18% taker (about $0.90); Canadian app schedule not published |
These are the published fee rules applied to a $500 buy. The spread, the gap between the quoted price and the market price, is extra on any platform that does not state it, and it is wider on thinly traded coins. Offshore platforms show lower headline fees, but they cannot take Canadian dollars and Canada is restricted in their terms.
How Do You Buy Alchemy Pay (ACH) In Canada Step By Step?
- Pick Coinbase. It is the first CSA-registered exchange in the table above that lists ACH. Open it from the button in the table.
- Sign up and verify. Upload a government-issued ID and a selfie, and sometimes proof of address. Verification can take up to 24 hours.
- Deposit Canadian dollars. Interac e-Transfer is free to add cash on Coinbase and usually avoids the extra cost of a card.
- Buy ACH. Search for ACH in the app, use a market order for speed or a limit order if you want to name your price, and read the fee preview before you confirm.
- Send long-term holdings to your own wallet. Try a small test transfer first. My best crypto wallets for Canadians list covers the options.
You can use a credit or debit card if you want ACH as quickly as possible, but cards usually cost more than Interac e-Transfer, and Canadian banks sometimes block them.
How Do You Store Alchemy Pay (ACH)?
Keeping your coins safe is something you must do if you do not want to risk them being stolen. An exchange holds your keys for you, so for anything you plan to keep, use a private crypto wallet. Choose one of the crypto wallets I reviewed, and check that it supports ACH before you send anything, because not every wallet supports every coin or network. Then withdraw ACH from the exchange you bought it on to your wallet. Send a small test amount first.
How Do You Sell Alchemy Pay (ACH) In Canada?
To sell, go to the exchange where you bought it. If your coins are in a wallet, send them back to the exchange first, then click sell. You can swap ACH for another cryptocurrency, or sell it for Canadian dollars if the exchange offers that pair, and then withdraw to your bank account. Withdrawal fees and limits differ by platform. My guide on how to sell or cash out crypto in Canada has the full steps.
Do You Pay Tax When You Buy Alchemy Pay (ACH) In Canada?
Buying ACH with Canadian dollars is not itself a taxable event. Selling it, swapping it for another coin or spending it can be. The CRA says that, depending on your activities, you may realize business income (or loss) or a capital gain (or loss), and the two are reported differently. Record the date and CAD value of every buy, sale and swap. See my crypto taxation guide and how to report your crypto taxes.
What Are The Documented Risks Of Alchemy Pay (ACH)?
I could not retrieve an official risk or documentation page for Alchemy Pay that I could verify on the day I checked, so I am not going to invent a list of project-specific risks. The risks that apply to any altcoin do apply here. Prices can swing hard in either direction. A small token can have thin liquidity, so the price you see and the price you get can differ. Smart-contract bugs and bridge failures are a risk for any token that runs on contracts or exists in wrapped form. Exchanges can delist a token, and you cannot assume you will always be able to sell where you bought.
Before you buy, read the project's own website and documentation for audits, token details and any notices, and treat anything you cannot verify as unconfirmed. No part of this page is investment advice.
Which Wallets Support ACH?
I could not find an official wallet-support page for Alchemy Pay that I could verify on the day I checked, so I am not going to hand you a list of wallets and hope. Start from the project's own website and docs, which name the wallets and networks the team supports, and then check the wallet vendor's own support page for the same token. If a wallet vendor does not list ACH, treat that as a no until it says otherwise.
The general rule holds for any altcoin: a token lives on one or more specific blockchains, and your wallet has to support the blockchain, not only the ticker. Two tokens with similar names can sit on different networks, and wrapped or bridged copies exist for some coins. Confirm the exact network before you buy, because the exchange's withdrawal screen only offers the networks it supports.
How Do You Move ACH From An Exchange To A Wallet?
Confirm on the exchange which network its ACH withdrawal uses, and match it in your wallet.
- Pick the wallet first. Open the wallet you plan to use and confirm that it lists ACH and the network you will receive it on. A wallet that cannot see the token will not destroy it, but you may need to add a custom token or network before the balance shows.
- Match the network. The withdrawal screen on the exchange asks which network to use. It must be the same network your wallet address belongs to. Sending on the wrong network is the most common way people lose coins.
- Copy the address from the wallet. Use the copy button, not retyping, and compare the first and last characters after you paste it. If the official docs for the coin mention a memo or tag, add it exactly.
- Send a small test amount. Withdrawal fees are charged per transfer, so a test costs a little extra, but it is cheaper than a mistake.
- Wait for confirmations, then send the rest. Check the balance in the wallet itself, and look the transaction up on the network's block explorer if it is slow.
For a list of storage options I have reviewed, see my best crypto wallets for Canadians. Write your recovery phrase on paper, never photograph it, and never type it into a website.
What Changed For Buying Alchemy Pay (ACH) In Canada In October 2026?
- Kraken republished its fee schedule, with Pro spot starting at 0.40% maker and 0.80% taker.
- One of Bitunix's FINTRAC registrations (Bitunix Innovation Limited) expired, and its restricted regions notice still names Canada.
- The CSA issued an amended decision for Coinbase Canada Inc.
