Which Is More Secure, NGRAVE Or Keystone?

Both wallets are air-gapped and sign over QR codes, so neither has USB, Bluetooth or NFC for malware to reach. The difference is how far each pushes the idea. NGRAVE ZERO has no USB, Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi or 4G at all, and Keystone 3 Pro has USB-C for power or data (its page does not say which).

NGRAVE states that its chip is Common Criteria EAL7, which it says is unique among crypto hardware wallets, but the chip model is not named on its pages and I could not confirm the claim against a certification body. Treat it as NGRAVE's own claim. It adds a fingerprint sensor. Keystone says it has three secure element chips (models not named), a fingerprint sensor, a self-destruct tamper design and 100% open source hardware and software. NGRAVE's openness is less clear on the pages I read, so I will not claim it either way.

Backups: NGRAVE uses a 24 word BIP-39 seed or a hexadecimal "Perfect Key" you can convert both ways, with unlimited hidden wallets through a passphrase, and the combo packs include a backup product. Keystone lets you hold BTC only or altcoins and works with MetaMask and 100+ wallets.

Records: I found no incident for NGRAVE. Keystone had a March 2026 USB SDK flaw, found with OneKey's Anzen team, which could lead to code execution and in a lab chain seed recovery. It needs physical possession, the PIN, an unlocked device and your approval, and was fixed in firmware v2.4.0 on April 1, 2026. Signing by QR avoids the USB path (joint advisory).

Which Is Easier To Use?

Both use a big touchscreen. NGRAVE has a 4 inch capacitive screen at 480 x 800 and 600 cd/m2 brightness, and Keystone has a 4 inch full-colour touchscreen. Keystone pairs with third-party apps you may already know, including MetaMask, OKX Wallet, Rabby, Backpack and UniSat, plus its own app. NGRAVE's flow is QR-only too, so expect plenty of scanning on both.

Which Supports More Coins?

NGRAVE's page says both "+3 500 coins and tokens" in the hero line and, on the spec line, 15 coins plus all Ethereum and MultiversX tokens. The two figures disagree, so ask NGRAVE which coins work before you buy. Keystone offers multi-coin firmware for all major cryptocurrencies or a BTC-only firmware, and works with 100+ wallets, so Keystone's reach is easier to understand.

Which Costs Less In Canada?

The Keystone 3 Pro is USD 149 against USD 398 for the ZERO, and the ZERO showed "Sold out" for every pack when I checked, so check stock first. NGRAVE ships from Belgium to Canada, charges no shipping on ZERO and the COMBO PACK, and says customs duties or fees are paid by the buyer to the carrier, so plan for import costs. How Do They Work With Canadian Exchanges?

Both receive from any exchange as ordinary addresses. Bull Bitcoin pays on-chain with no fee (minimum 0.001 BTC), and Wealthsimple allows external withdrawals up to CA$10,000 a day after a selfie check. Withdrawals to your own wallet are not taxable per Wealthsimple's help page and the CRA, but keep records.

If you are tempted by the more exotic option, remember that exotic hardware also needs exotic patience. QR-only signing means every transaction involves scanning, and a sold-out shop means you may wait or switch. The Keystone is easier to buy and to try, and you can always move to something else later because both support standard seeds.
