Buy Tangem directly from tangem.com and choose Canada at checkout. The 2-card set lists at USD 54.90 and the 3-card set at USD 69.90. Standard shipping is free on orders above USD 100 before VAT, and Tangem states taxes and duties are not included. The pricing page does not show Canadian shipping rates or a CAD price, so the checkout total is the number to trust.

Where Can You Buy Tangem In Canada?

Tangem sells through its official site, tangem.com, and that is where I would buy. Unlike a box with a seed phrase, a Tangem card is the key, so a tampered unit is a real risk and marketplace listings are not worth the saving. Type the address yourself.

How Much Does Tangem Shipping Cost To Canada?

Tangem says standard shipping is free for orders above USD 100 before VAT. A 2-card or 3-card set is under that line, so on its own it will not qualify; the Family pack and the Pro Kit are above it. Canada-specific delivery fees and times are not published on the pricing page and appear when you select Canada at checkout.

Will You Pay Duty And Tax On Tangem In Canada?

Probably some. Tangem states that taxes and duties are not included in the price, so any GST or HST and courier brokerage fee is on top. Treat the checkout total plus those charges as your real cost and compare it against the price of the same budget in a different wallet from my wallet ranking.

What Does Tangem Support?

Tangem's homepage says 14,100 plus tokens across 90 plus networks, a certified EAL6+ chip made with Samsung Semiconductors, a design life of at least 25 years and an IP69K rating. The wallet is seedless by design, with a seed optional. That design is what makes it easy, and it is also why you should buy the multi-card set and store the cards in separate places. My Tangem review has the hands-on detail and the 2024 vulnerability discussion.

How Do You Fund A Tangem?

Buy the coins first on a registered platform: Coinbase (9.9/10), Kraken (9.6) or Wealthsimple Crypto (9.5), then withdraw to the address shown in the Tangem app. Always send a small test amount first. See the full exchange ranking.

What Is A Tangem Card?

A Tangem wallet is a card-shaped hardware wallet that uses NFC, so you tap it to your phone instead of plugging in a cable. There is no battery. Tangem calls it fully non-custodial, meaning only you can access the funds. Each card in a set holds the same cold wallet, and one tap links them for recovery, so the backup is the extra cards instead of a written seed phrase. The design is "seedless by design", although you can optionally generate or import a seed phrase if you prefer one.

How Does Setup Work?

  1. Install the Tangem app. Get it from the official stores only.
  2. Tap and activate the card. Tangem says activation takes about two minutes. The card's secure element generates a random private key using entropy from its physical sensors.
  3. Set an access code. It guards against unauthorised use.
  4. Link the backup cards. One tap per card.
  5. Store the cards separately. A drawer at home and a safe place elsewhere beats keeping them together.
  6. Send a small test amount first.

How Secure Is It, According To Tangem?

Tangem says the chips are certified EAL6+ with protection against invasive and non-invasive attacks, and that the firmware was independently audited by Kudelski Security and Riscure. Those are the company's claims, and my review covers the 2024 vulnerability discussion I kept from the original article. A sensible reading: a card with no screen means you trust the app to show the right address, so check addresses carefully and use small test sends.

Which Set Should You Buy?

Tangem Sets Compared
SetPrice (USD)Backup Position
2 cards54.90One backup, so one loss leaves a single copy
3 cards69.90Two backups, better protection if one card is lost
Family pack129.80For sharing among household members

The 3-card set is the one I would buy for the extra recovery margin, and the price gap is USD 15. Remember shipping and tax on top, as covered above.

What Are The Alternatives?

What Should You Do If You Lose A Tangem Card?

The point of buying a set is that each card holds the same wallet. If you lose one card, the other cards still hold the keys, and you can use the Tangem app to link a replacement. That is also why a 2-card set leaves you thin: after a loss you are down to one copy until you buy another card. Keep the cards in different places, and never keep the access code written on the same card. If a card is stolen, move funds to a fresh wallet once you have access, since the access code is the main barrier.

How Do You Check A Tangem Order When It Arrives?

Look at the outer box for signs of opening, and check that the seals and labels match the order. Activate the card inside the official Tangem app, and stop if anything fails or looks unusual. Never accept cards that someone has already activated, or that come with a written code or seed phrase. For general delivery advice, see where to buy BitBox, Jade, Keystone or SafePal.

Is Tangem Good Value In Canada?

On sticker price, a 3-card set at USD 69.90 is among the cheaper multi-coin wallets in my comparison. Add shipping, GST or HST and any courier brokerage fee, and the real total is higher. If the cost of the cards is the main concern, compare the SafePal S1 at USD 49.99 and the original Jade at USD 67 on sale. If convenience is the main concern, the card format is hard to beat, since it fits in a wallet and needs no cable. Read my Tangem review for the downsides before you buy.
